What is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is end-of-life care for patients of chronic or terminal illnesses. The primary aim of hospice care is to improve the quality of life. Hence it aims to provide comfort and care for patients in their final days. Hospice care involves professional services ranging from pain and symptom management to emotional support and compassionate companionship.

Hospice care is carried out by a team of professionals ranging from doctors and professional nurses to chaplains and social workers. The joint efforts of the team makes it possible to take care of medical concerns while upholding their dignity and accommodating all their last wishes.
