Home Health Aides (HHA) also known as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) provide a wide range of personal care for individuals, depending on their needs and level of assistance required. They may include:
Showering and bathing (tub or bed bath)
Assist with dressing and undressing
Shaving and nail care
Oral/denture care
Brushing or combing hair
Incontinence care and/or toileting
Hygiene needs
Massages
Repositioning for bed bound individuals
Transferring to and from bed/chair
Assistance with motion exercises
Changing bed linens
Light housekeeping/meal prep
The Home Health Aide works in line with your registered nurses’ plan of care. Depending upon the needs of your loved one, they will conduct the appropriate care and tasks as instructed by the nurse.
